Learning Supporter 

£16,087.50 - £17,837.50 (Pro rata) based on Qualifications and experience

Starting Salary - £8.25
Care Certificate/ Induction/probation - £8.38
NVQ 2 H & SC or equivalent - £8.63
NVQ 3 H & SC or equivalent - £9.02
Advanced practitioner course - £9.15

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative individuals to provide a high standard of care and support on a day to day basis. Recognising and encouraging choice, dignity, privacy, self-worth, respect and community participation. You will work as part of a support team for the benefit of tenants in their own home.

The main tasks will be to support and enable people with a learning disability to take positive next steps towards their independence. Support them to reflect, evaluate and recognise their learning and experience of their actions and provide personal support, assistance, guidance, encouragement and inspiration.

  • 22 Hours per week - 2 week rota 
  • 22.5 Hours per week - 2 week rota 
  • 30 Hours per week - 2 week rota 
  • 35 Hours per week - 3 week rota 
  • 35 Hours per week - 3 week rota

Lower Coombe (Roundham, Near Crewkerne)

  • 15 Hours per week - 2 week rota 
  • 17 Hours per week - 2 week rota


The Hours below are for an individual who requires male support staff 

  • 31.5 Hours per week - 2 week rota - Night Work 

0 hour contracts are also available upon request

For all posts, you must be age 18+ and be both literate and numerate. Experience of working with people with physical and learning disabilities is an advantage but not essential. You must have a caring and friendly nature, sense of humour, be approachable and non-judgemental and have an enthusiastic and positive approach. All posts are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
